美反歧視法影片

  影片分享,An Anti-Bullying Message From the NOH8 Campaign,
反對八號法案(禁止同性婚姻的法案)的反霸凌訊息。



  以下原本是在下靠聽音的直接英翻中,後來發現了英文的轉寫,就將轉寫
內容配合我的翻譯做了一點小小的修改,並且又做了中英對照。每句話代表切
換一畫面。

-霸凌行為有多嚴重?
-How serious is bullying?

-光今年,十之八九的同志學生就在校園遭受霸凌
-Nine out of ten LGBT students have been bullied at school this year alone.

-如此的騷擾已讓三分之二的同志學生沒有安全感
-The harassment has caused two-thirds of these students to feel unsafe.

-LGBT teens are 6 to 9 times more likely to attempt suicide than their straight peers.

-More than a quarter of transgender youth and a third of lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth have attempted suicide,

-They're not even allowed to adopt in certain states.

-這些同志少年會怎麼想?
-What are these kids supposed to think?

-我們國家的大人讓他們看到,他們的問題沒有解決辦法
-They're being shown by the adults in our country that there are no solutions to their problems.

-更糟的是這些法案讓歧視合法
-What's worse, these laws that legislate discrimination,

-施予認可惡霸霸凌行為的教導
-teach bullies that what they're doing is acceptable.

-我們的政府對待同志社群宛若次等公民,又有何不可?
-Our government treats the LGBT community like second-class citizens, why shouldn't they?

-我們的青少年正受恐同情節潛移默化
-The homophobia trickles down to our youth.

-這些例子正如此教育我們的孩子
-Kids are taught by example.

-這些偏見是學習來的
-These biases are learned.

-霸凌行為不會只在孩子身上或校園裡發生
-Bullying does not stop at kids or schools, either.

-到處都會發生
-It can happen anywhere.

-從職場到家庭
-From the workplace to the home.

-霸凌並非都是揮拳相像,時常是從玩笑開始
-Bullying isn't always about fists. It often starts with a joke.

-例如說:「他那樣好GAY喔!」
-Saying, 'That's so gay!'

-嘲笑那些比較不一樣的人
-Mocking someone for being different.

-都會造成傷害
-It can all hurt.

-而且在臉書、推特、以及智慧手機的時代,無從逃離玩笑的折磨
-In the age of Facebook, Twitter, and smart phones, sometimes there can be no escape from the torment.

-霸凌行為無情的持續
-The bullying is relentless.

-隨時隨地侵擾同志
-All around them, all the time.

-該適可而止了
-Enough is enough.

-我們該警覺
-This is our wake-up call.

-霸凌並非無害、無惡意、或是童言無忌
-Bullying isn't harmless, or innocent, or kids being kids.

-我們的青少年飽受霸凌肆虐
-Our youth are being bullied to death.

-你我再也不能無視這個問題了
-You and I can’t continue to keep ignoring this problem anymore.

-我們有責任
-We have to hold ourselves accountable.

-我們必須做好榜樣
-We have to set the example.

-家長們,告訴你們的孩子
-Parents, talk to your kids.

-孩子們,告訴你們的家長
-Kids, talk to your parents.

-別當旁觀者
-Don't be a bystander.

-成為別人的救命索
-Be someone's lifeline.

-行動吧!
-Take action!

-沉默不動跟霸凌行為一樣糟糕
-Inaction can be just as bad as bullying itself.

-如果你做錯了,就承認吧!
-If you make a mistake, fess up to it.

-改過永遠不嫌遲
-It’s never too late to change.

-雖然失去的生命不會再回來
-We can never replace those we've lost.

-但我們可以保護當下的生命
-But we can save lives now.

-說出來!
-Be heard.

-說出來!
-Be heard.

-說出來!
-Be heard.

-你永遠不知道誰在傾聽。
-You never know who might be listening.
